Terms of Use — HVAC Load Calc

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Vladimir Lukashov ("we", "us") for use of the HVAC Load Calc app ("the App"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. This also serves as the End User License Agreement required by the App Store.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your Apple devices. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law.

2. Subscription

Full functionality requires an auto-renewing yearly subscription (with a free trial where offered). Payment is charged to your Apple ID and handled by Apple. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Restores are available via the App. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

3. Engineering reference only — IMPORTANT

The App provides load estimates for guidance only and is not a substitute for a certified Manual J calculation, professional HVAC engineering judgment, local building code, or manufacturer specifications.

The App computes a simplified whole-house block load using standard ASHRAE heat-transfer physics (envelope conduction, infiltration, solar and internal gains). It does not perform a full room-by-room ACCA Manual J analysis and does not model orientation-by-orientation shading, duct gains/losses, or every site-specific condition. Results depend entirely on the inputs and assumptions you provide.
Design temperatures, U-values, and infiltration presets are typical reference values. Verify them against ASHRAE design-condition tables, the actual construction, and local code before relying on any result for equipment selection.
You are solely responsible for verifying and applying the App's results in your work, including any liability, rework, comfort, or code-compliance issues arising from equipment sized using its output.

4. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, injury, or loss arising from use of the App or reliance on its calculations. Your total remedy is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.

5. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

6. Apple

This EULA is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for the App or support and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
